Simulators (managers) – simulation game. With the help of a computer, the physical behavior and control of some complex object of a technical system (for example: a combat fighter, a car, etc.) is simulated as fully as possible. If arcade games seek to entertain the player with various impossible phenomena, tricks and sharpness of the plot, the main criterion for the quality of technical simulators – the completeness and realism of the simulation of its object (car, aircraft, etc.). Simulators in turn are divided according to the game task.

Arcade simulators – a simplified version of technical simulators, often with alternative physics. The fundamental difference from the arcade itself – the presence of albeit simplified, but still the physical model. Most often with a similar physics are made simulation spacecraft and automobiles.

Sports simulators, another name – “sports sim. As the name suggests – the simulation of a sports game, the most common are simulations of soccer, hockey, basketball, tennis and golf, bowling and billiards.

Sports Manager – a kind of sports simulator. A distinctive feature is that in the simulation, the player observes directly the gameplay and can influence the course of the match online, while the management settings of tactics, strategy, transfers and financial transactions are chosen in advance and the player sees the results after the match.

In a sports manager, the player acts as the manager of his own sports team (athlete). The task of the player is not only to win the matches, but also competent and successful management of the infrastructure of his club.

Economic simulators, often also classified as a strategy genre, are devoted to the mapping of economic, market processes – most often it is about entrepreneurship, the player’s goal, the management of an enterprise, is to extract a virtual profit. In “pure” economic simulators there are no elements of construction; the player must manage the existing commercial enterprise; market processes and the behavior of competitors are relatively close to reality.

God simulators are strategy games in which the player has to act as a “god” – some supernatural entity who cares about a whole small nation. Such games are characterized, as a rule, indirect control over the individual game characters – they are controlled by a computer, and the player’s role is determined by “supernatural” intervention in their lives, construction of buildings, maintaining the optimum state of the ward society and the like. Many god simulators do not set any specific tasks for the player, giving him the opportunity to freely and unrestrictedly develop the ward society.

Dating simulators – romantic relationship simulators, also known as romantic adventures, some of them are close to RPG (role-playing) in terms of game organization, others – to adventurous games (adventures).
